Benji Holder
400Benji Holder had been overweight his whole life and says it got worse once he became an adult. "It got to a point where it got difficult with ordinary life and regular tasks," said Holder.
His children played a big role in his decision to get healthy, as they required a lot of his attention and energy. In October 2023, he had bariatric surgery at Lutheran Hospital and has lost over 200 pounds.
"I'm just very thankful that I was able to take this opportunity and this step and just get healthy," said Holder.

Kourtney Yoder
Kourtney Yoder’s story is incredible. She lost 130 pounds and gained a new perspective, reclaiming her health, energy and confidence.
Weight-loss surgery isn’t one-size-fits-all. There are a number of surgical options and patients are evaluated to determine which approach will help them achieve their personal goals.
“The surgery I had was personal to me and I love that,” said Yoder. “I was focused on my own journey rather than comparing myself to others. I feel completely different. Having my own voice and being able to use it has been awesome.”

Robert Sprinkle
Robert Sprinkle was an athlete and joined the Marine Corp right out of high school, but somewhere in his 40s he started to struggle keeping weight off. "I had a heart attack in April of 2023 and neck problems. I just wasn't taking care of myself," said Sprinkle.
The day after his heart attack, he devoted himself to a healthier lifestyle and started to make some changes. He started exploring his options which led him to bariatric surgery at Lutheran Hospital. To date he has lost over 100 pounds and has been able to lower all the dosage of all his medications.
"I'm taking more supplements and vitamins now more than anything. Just jump over that fence and do it - if you pick the other side where the grass is greener, where I'm at right now , you're not going to regret it," said Sprinkle.
