Six providers latest to join Lutheran Health Physicians

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Sept. 22, 2017) - Three physicians, two nurse practitioners and a physician assistant have recently joined Lutheran Health Physicians.
Fei Lu, M.D., PhD, FACC, FHRS, has been featured in over 200 publications and has lectured in the field of cardiac electrophysiology in North America, Asia and Europe.
As a board-certified electrophysiologist, Dr. Lu specializes in diagnosing and treating irregular heart rhythms caused by problems with the heart's electrical system, including any fast, slow and irregular heart rhythms. He evaluates the need for an implantable device and catheter ablations, and predicts the risk of future sudden cardiac death.
Dr. Lu received his medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in Guangzhou, China, and received his PhD from the University of London. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship at Sun Yat-sen University. He also completed fellowships in cardiology/electrophysiology at St. George's Hospital in London, Indiana University in Indianapolis, and Rush University in Chicago.
Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Lu is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the American Heart Association.
He is based at 7916 W. Jefferson Blvd., on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
Viswanath Natesan, MD, joined Lutheran Health Physicians after completing an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Medical Center. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Natesan examines patients and orders tests to prevent, diagnose and treat heart conditions. He also can perform heart catheterizations and advanced heart procedures.
Dr. Natesan, who is board certified in cardiology, internal medicine and echocardiography, received his medical degree from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Lutheran Medical Center in New York, a fellowship in cardiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Natesan previously worked as a clinical instructor at the Cleveland Medical Center. He also has experience as an internal medicine physician in Caribou, Maine, and as a hospitalist in Tamil Nadu, India.
Dr. Natesan is located in the medical office building on the St. Joseph Hospital campus, 800 Broadway, Suite 300.
Patrick Noonan, D.O., is a pediatric critical care specialist who cares for infants, children and adolescents who become critically injured and require a high level of monitoring in a specialized unit. Working with a multidisciplinary team, Dr. Noonan coordinates care with other doctors, nurses and specialist in the pediatric intensive care unit at Lutheran Children's Hospital.
Dr. Noonan received his medical degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed a pediatric residency at Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, and a pediatric critical care fellowship at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Before joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Dr. Noonan worked as an instructor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has given multiple lectures covering topics related to pediatric critical care and served on several committees throughout his career.
Dr. Noonan is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He is based at Lutheran Children's Hospital, 7950 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Aaron McCord, NP, is a trauma surgery nurse practitioner who focuses on treating patients who have severe, life-threatening blunt force and penetrating injuries. He treats patients who are critically injured and oftentimes suffering from multiple injuries to the colon, pancreas, spleen or stomach.
McCord graduated from IPFW with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2003. In 2011, he received his Masters of Science in Nursing from Ball State University in Muncie with a family nurse practitioner concentration. He also serves as a professor of nursing at IPFW.
McCord has several years of experience as a nurse practitioner caring for patients in need of a range of services including nephrology, preventive care and primary care. He also has experience in both intensive care and emergency department units.
McCord's home base is Medical Office Building One, 7900 W. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 306, on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
Kelly Stabenau, PA, is a physician assistant on the Lutheran Health Physicians trauma surgery team. The trauma team treats patients who have severe, life-threatening blunt force and penetrating injuries. Stabenau assists surgeons as they operate on patients who are critically injured and oftentimes have multiple injuries to the colon, pancreas, spleen and/or stomach.
Stabenau joined Lutheran Health Physicians after serving as a direct care provider for an organization that provides support services to people with developmental and cognitive disabilities. In 2017, she completed her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Indiana State University.
Stabenau is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
He is based out of Medical Office Building Two, 7910 W. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 112, on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
Melissa Willard, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a cardiology nurse practitioner focused on diagnosing and treating heart conditions. Willard serves patients whose conditions can be managed with medications and lifestyle changes and educates patients about health issues and preventive care.
Willard earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, in 2014. She received her master's degree in nursing from the University of Saint Francis in 2017.
Willard has over 10 years of critical care nursing experience including service as a registered nurse in the critical care unit at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw and in the coronary intensive care unit at Lutheran Hospital, respectively.
Willard is a member of the Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Holistic Nurses Association. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Willard works from the LHP offices at 7916 W. Jefferson Blvd., on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
