New St. Joseph Hospital CNO has worked her way up the ranks at LHN

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016) - LaCrystal Gordon, RN, BSN, MSN, CMSRN, is the new chief nursing officer at St. Joseph Hospital. Gordon is familiar to St. Joe having been there since April 2015 as the hospital's assistant chief nursing officer.
Prior to joining the administrative team at St. Joe, Gordon's 10-year work history included serving as the patient experience director and a nurse manager for the medical surgical and renal units at Lutheran Hospital. She also worked as a charge nurse and department education coordinator.
Gordon attained her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Western Governors University in 2015 and 2016, respectively. She began her healthcare pursuit when she earned a practical nursing certificate and an associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in 2008. Before that, Gordon received an undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in 2004.
Gordon currently participates as a member of the 2016-2017 Leadership Fort Wayne class. Additionally, she was recognized as a Lutheran Leader in 2014 and she received the Indiana Healthcare Executive Network Healthcare Service Award in 2012.
Outside the hospital, Gordon enjoys spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews.
