New additions to Lutheran Health Physicians represent 5 different specialties

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Feb. 25, 2019) - Five providers specializing in the area of trauma surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, cardiology, hematology/oncology, and family medicine are the most recent to join the Lutheran Health Physicians team.
Keith Clancy, M.D., is a trauma surgeon who treats patients who have severe, life-threatening blunt force and penetrating injuries usually involving the colon, pancreas, spleen and/or stomach.
Dr. Clancy obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Wheaton College in Illinois in 1985 before earning a medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1992. He completed a general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and a surgical critical care fellowship at The Ryder Trauma Center at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami. Dr. Clancy later received a master of business administration degree in healthcare management from the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management in 2011.
Prior to joining LHP, Dr. Clancy served as the trauma program medical director at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. During his more than 30 years in healthcare, he has also served as the medical director for trauma and surgical critical care at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, Creighton University Medical Center, and University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.
Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Clancy is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Since 1999, he has also held numerous academic appointments, most recently as an associate professor of surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. Clancy's office is located in Suite 306 of Medical Office Building One, 7900 W. Jefferson Blvd., on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
Luis Gonzalez, M.D., joined the obstetrics/gynecology team at Lutheran Health Physicians in Warsaw after most recently serving for 17 years in Lansing, Michigan, as a member of the medical staff at Sparrow Hospital and a practice leader for Sparrow Medical Group Midwest OB/GYN.
As an OB/GYN, Dr. Gonzalez assists women through pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum care. He also diagnoses and treats disorders and diseases related to the female reproductive system. Dr. Gonzalez is trained to perform robotic and laparoscopy gynecologic surgeries and advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries.

Muzammil Mushtaq, M.D., is a cardiologist on the Lutheran Health Physicians team. He examines, diagnoses and treats patients with heart disorders that can be managed by medication and lifestyle changes. He is experienced in interventional cardiology and complex coronary interventions.
Dr. Mushtaq completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan and an internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Mushtaq has extensive cardiology-related publications. He conducted transitional research studying the role of mesenchymal stem cell therapy for the treatment of ischemic and dilated cardiomyopathy, and has participated in preclinical animal models. His other research experiences cover topics including heart failure, cardiomyopathy and hypertension.
Dr. Mushtaq is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and Punjabi.

Lisa Guzman, FNP-BC, brings with her more than 30 years of cancer care and palliative care experience to the Lutheran Health Physicians team. Prior to joining LHP, Guzman worked as a palliative care nurse practitioner with Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. She has also worked in the Chicagoland area in various roles including bone marrow transplant nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and oncology clinical nurse specialist with Monroe Medical.
Guzman received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Purdue University Northwest in Hammond where she also earned a master's degree in nursing with a clinical nurse specialist area of emphasis. In 2013, she received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette.
Guzman is a member of Oncology Nurses Society, the National Hospice Organization, the American Nurses Association and the Indiana Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She serves as a board member of the Northwest Indiana Oncology Nurses Society.

Melissa Jimenez, FNP, joined the family practice team at Lutheran Health Physicians in North Manchester after most recently serving for 10 years as a nurse and nurse manager at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester. As a family medicine nurse practitioner, Jimenez works in collaboration with Dr. Lori Zimmerman delivering an integrative approach to family-focused preventive care and developing treatment plans for chronic illnesses and acute conditions.
Her office is located at 605 N. Walnut St. in North Manchester.
