Michael J. Brumfield, D.O., FACOS, Receives Fellow Status

The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) inducted Michael J. Brumfield, D.O., FACOS, a board-certified general osteopathic surgeon at Dukes Memorial Hospital (DMH), as a fellow of the ACOS. This designation is recognition of Dr. Brumfield’s board certification, voluntary activities and service to advance osteopathic medicine and surgery. Those who earn the FACOS designation have demonstrated their commitment to the practice of surgery, surgical teaching, authorship of professional papers, participation in local, state and national osteopathic organizations, and adherence to the professional and ethical standards established by the ACOS. In addition to his involvement with the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Dr. Brumfield is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Brumfield joined the Dukes Memorial Hospital medical staff in 2016. Prior to joining DMH, he served as the medical director of St. Vincent Randolph Wound Center at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester, Indiana. He is the chief of surgery at DMH and performs general surgery at DMH.
