Lutheran Hospital Invites Public to Commemorate their Lost Loved Ones
10/30/2023
The public is invited to attend a special event commemorating the loss of loved ones at the annual Lutheran Hospital Remembrance Tree event on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Materials will be available to design and assemble a remembrance ornament to be placed on trees to be viewed in the hospital lobby throughout the season. Special ornaments will be available for fallen heroes, organ donors, children and infants. Ornaments may be picked up after the holiday season.
This event will include holiday music, refreshments, memory-making packets for children to complete at home, and more. Chaplains and Lutheran Hospital’s Bereavement Committee will be available for support throughout the event. There will be a reading of loved ones' names at 12 p.m.
“Holidays are often difficult for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one,” said Zachary Mocek, spiritual care/chaplaincy, Lutheran Hospital. “The Remembrance Tree program helps those who have experienced a loss and gives them a place to remember their loved one this holiday season and not feel alone in their grief.”
