August 19 LKH Community Health Talk
Warsaw, IN – As we age, slight and more dramatic changes in balance can occur. Over time, these changes in steadiness can become a hindrance to our quality of life - and lead to accidents. Matt Hauck, physical therapist, will talk about how our body's balance changes and exercise techniques that can help you maintain strength and steadiness. Attend the next LKH Community Health session on Tuesday, August 19, from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the LKH Administration Classroom, 2101 E. DuBois Dr., Warsaw.
Hauck will talk about numerous factors that collectively affect overall steadiness including rest, exercise, steps, strength training, flexibility, bone density and monitoring health conditions.
A question and answer session will follow the presentation. The LKH Community Health Series is held monthly at LKH in the hospital administration classroom, 2101 E. Dubois Drive in Warsaw. The series features medical providers who educate and encourage community members to live a healthy lifestyle. Those interested in attending can call 260-435-7787 or email CommunityRelations@LHN.net.
