Free Educational Event on Women & Heart Health at Lutheran Downtown Hospital
2/14/2023
Women interested in learning more about heart health are invited to a free educational event at Lutheran Downtown Hospital in February.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the United States, but warning signs are often ignored while women focus on their careers, caring for families and other commitments.
The free heart health education event will be held in the first floor conference room at Lutheran Downtown Hospital, 702 Van Buren St., at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28. Learn more from cardiologist Dr. Bhaktavatsala Apuri as he covers:
- Basics of cardiovascular disease
- Signs and symptoms, including those unique to women
- Key risk factors for women
A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Space is limited and spots can be reserved online here or by calling (260) 435-7787.
Dr. Apuri is a board-certified cardiologist and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology who diagnoses and treats patients with heart disorders including coronary artery disease, vascular disease, heart failure and heart valve disease. He is also board certified in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
