5/10/2022
Dupont Hospital received an “A” grade in the Spring 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing achievements protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
The Leapfrog Group is a national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on health care safety. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade released today assigns a letter grade to nearly 3,000 U.S. general hospitals based on over 30 measures of patient safety.
"The Dupont Hospital team is proud of the work put into achieving our Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of ‘A’,” said Mark Dooley, Dupont Hospital chief executive officer. “Our team of dedicated, experienced professionals is focused every day on the safety and satisfaction of our patients. It is our privilege to provide residents in Fort Wayne and our surrounding communities with the highest level of care."
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harms to patients. The grading system is fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated biannually in the fall and spring.
