Celebrating 35 Years of Dedication, Remington to Retire August 1
7/24/2025
Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital has announced the upcoming retirement of a longtime family medicine provider, William Remington Jr., M.D., effective August 1, 2025. Dr. Remington, a deeply respected and beloved physician, has faithfully served the Warsaw and surrounding communities, providing care to generations of families for 35 years.
“As I say goodbye to many patients I have known for decades, I am reminded why I believe God finally nudged me to pursue a family medicine residency. The underpinnings of the bio-psycho-social model, in a continuity relationship with patients, has delivered the most well-trained, poignant, and nimble 'Swiss army knife' for varied communities in America for over half a century,” said Dr. Remington
Outside of his office hours, Dr. Remington enjoyed serving on the Kosciusko Board of Health, becoming their Health Officer in 1994. In this role, he valued helping with preparedness in disasters and bioterrorism, opiate death mitigation and outbreak coordination (TB, H1N1 Influenza, Hepatitis A and COVID-19) efforts.
“Dr. Remington’s contributions have left a mark on countless lives, embodying the true spirit of a healthcare provider. His dedication to his patients and the impact he’s had on this community will be deeply missed,” said Chad Towner, chief executive officer of Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital.
“‘Patient-centric’ is not just a slogan, it is essential and must drive the organizational set-up. Patients embody my most deeply felt memories, which now tug at my heart as I retire,” said Dr. Remington.
Please join us in extending our deepest gratitude and best wishes to Dr. Remington as he enjoys this new chapter.
