Brent Parsons appointed CEO at Bluffton Regional Medical Center

BLUFFTON, Ind. (Jan. 9, 2017) - Lutheran Health Network announced today Brent Parsons has been selected as the new CEO at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Parsons has been interim CEO there since August. He replaces Aaron Garofola who made a similar transition from BRMC to Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Prior to arriving in Bluffton, Parsons served as an administrative specialist and then assistant CEO at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Part of his responsibility at Lutheran included strategic planning and overseeing a number of administrative functions at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Wayne, a 36-bed, freestanding inpatient facility with more than 125 employees.
Parsons received his master's in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Twin Cities, in 2015, and his bachelor's in finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 2012. Before finishing his undergrad, Parsons spent two years in Brazil as a missionary where he led and trained more than 180 volunteers and taught English.
Before entering graduate school, Parsons worked as a healthcare revenue cycle consultant at Accretive Health in West Valley City, Utah, and provided administrative support at Minor & James Medical in Seattle, a multi-specialty clinic comprised of more than 80 physicians.
Parsons is married; he and his wife Natasha have two young children who occupy most of their free time. He is fluent in Portuguese and played on the lacrosse team at BYU.
