Bluffton Regional welcomes new physician to medical staff

BLUFFTON, Ind. (June 4, 2019) - Primary care physician Norman Means, MD, of Lutheran Health Physicians, has joined the medical staff at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. His office is located at 125 E. Cherry St. in Bluffton and he is accepting new patients. Call (260) 919-3470 to schedule an appointment.
Dr. Means cares for men, women and children of all ages. He provides multiple services including preventive and chronic care, and also treats patients with acute illnesses.
Board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and family medicine, Dr. Means earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed a general surgery internship and pathology residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and a family medicine residency at Duke University/Southern Region AHEC Family Medicine Residency in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dr. Means also served as a transfusion medicine fellow at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Means has more than 25 years of experience in various service areas such as emergency care and family medicine. He joins Lutheran Health Physicians after most recently providing primary care at Van Wert Health in Ohio since 2017.
Dr. Means has contributed to numerous written publications on various topics such as transfusion and immunohematology.
