Alzheimer’s Disease vs. Dementia: Differences and Treatment Options

September is World Alzheimer's Awareness Month
Alzheimer's disease and dementia present significant challenges for both individuals diagnosed and their caregivers. Neurologist Kevin McGeehan, D.O., will discuss the symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia, including their stages, risk factors and current treatment options during an upcoming LKH community health talk at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. This presentation will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the LKH Administration Classroom, located at 2101 E. DuBois Drive in Warsaw.
Dr. Kevin McGeehan is a board-certified neurologist and medical director of the stroke program at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. He cares for neurology patients with disorders of the nerves and nervous system, including the brain and spine. Dr. McGeehan is a member of the medical staff at LKH. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
The LKH Community Health Series is held monthly at LKH in the hospital administration classroom, 2101 E. Dubois Drive in Warsaw. The series features medical providers who educate and encourage community members to live a healthy lifestyle.
