Nonprofit runs across America coast to coast to raise funds for kids
What: John McKay, founder of 4Another, and his team will make a stop at Lutheran Children's Hospital to bring gifts of toys, clothes and encouragement to patients facing cancer and other ailments. 4Another is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise awareness and funding for childhood cancer research through various types of activity-based tours.
When: 1 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2015
Where: Lutheran Children's Hospital, 7950 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Media are asked to meet in the lobby of Lutheran Cancer Center. Please park in the south parking garage. Look for a piano in the lobby.
Why: McKay has been personally touched by the impact of cancer and began the organization to make a difference. He and others run 30 to 40 miles per day from the east to the west coast. They celebrate the little heroes along the way to show their support. Visit 4another.net for more information.
