Lutheran Health Network proudly supports the medical education of physicians, nurses and many allied health professionals. In a given year, more than 1,400 students complete clinical education in one of our facilities.
Fort Wayne Medical Education Alliance and Lutheran Health Network partner to provide graduate medical students with supervised clinical experience at one of Lutheran’s hospitals. More than 65 percent of the residency students stay in northeast Indiana, which is double the average of other similar programs around the country.
In 2021, Lutheran Health Network set out to address a nursing shortage through a collaboration with Jersey College by establishing a program to expand regional training opportunities for those seeking a career in nursing. The program based at Lutheran Hospital allows students to experience classroom theory along with clinical application.
