GE Women’s Health & Wellness Tour to Visit Fort Wayne May 31
Free screenings and information at Statewood Plaza between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (May 19, 2008) — A national campaign designed to inform women about healthy living and disease prevention is set to visit Fort Wayne. Dupont Hospital and MD Imaging are sponsoring the GE Women's Health and Wellness Tour, which is scheduled to appear at Statewood Plaza (corner of State and Coliseum) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31.
A custom-designed semi-trailer with fully equipped state-of-the-art technology will be parked next to an activity tent. Suites in the GE semi provide space for medical professionals to share free information about bone, heart and breast health, digital mammography and other medical advancements.
"Ask the Expert" sessions with Joseph DeCamp, MD, Summit Radiology, and Theresa Herman, MD, chief quality officer, Dupont Hospital, will be offered to participants who have specific questions about breast health. Dr. DeCamp will be available from 10 a.m. to noon and Dr. Herman will be available from noon to 2 p.m.
Free screenings include:
- Bone Density
- Blood pressure
A wide range of additional activities, including fitness demonstrations and chair massages from Vital Living Therapeutic Massage, will be offered. In addition, door prizes, including a Personal Lifestyle Management package from the Dupont Resource Center valued at $550, will be offered.
