St. Joseph Hospital’s $5.9 Million Operating Room Renovation Project Finishes Ahead of Schedule

WHAT: The 20,000-square-foot renovation of St. Joseph Hospital’s surgical department is complete. The $5.9 million renovation included updating and enlarging the OR suites and pre- and postoperative areas. The nursing stations were remodeled and surgical equipment was upgraded.

Associates and physicians will receive short tours of the new area tomorrow.

WHEN: 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014

WHERE: St. Joseph Hospital, 700 Broadway
(media asked to gather in main lobby shortly before 2 p.m. or call in the morning to discuss alternate timing)

WHY: As not to interrupt service to patients, completing the renovation in phases allowed the department to remain open throughout the project while maintaining a sterile work environment, which was of the utmost importance. The project took place in three phases and it was completed ahead of schedule.
