Seasoned Administrator Hitting Stride as New Lutheran Medical Group CEO
Fort Wayne, Ind. (Friday, April 12, 2013) –Craig A. Dunker has become the chief executive officer of the Lutheran Medical Group. Dunker, who has extensive leadership experience in physician practice administration, joined the LMG team March 21. Dunker has worked for large and small medical groups throughout his career, collaborating with primary care physicians and specialists alike.
Most recently he was the vice president of a 200-member medical group in North Carolina. During his career, he has led numerous physician initiatives as well as managed care enhancements and overall leadership development. Dunker served as commissioned officer in the U.S. Army for 10 years and was commanding officer for numerous unit deployments oversees. He received his master’s degree from Central Michigan University and his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota.

Dunker and his wife Cheryl enjoy the outdoors. They attend and participate in horse-back-riding competitions. They have two children, Cody, a son in college, and an 11-year-old daughter, Rebecca.
