RediMed and Kroger Set to Deliver a Healthy Dose of Hospitality to Patrons at New Marketplace
Free flu shots for the first 100 recipients beginning Thursday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Oct. 2, 2012) – Patrons of the new Kroger Marketplace in the Village at Coventry, 5725 Coventry Lane, will get a chance to celebrate the store’s grand opening Thursday with a free flu shot courtesy of Lutheran Health Network’s RediMed urgent care clinics.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, RediMed is picking up the tab for the first 100 individuals who visit the store’s pharmacy in need of a seasonal flu shot. Free shots will be available daily until a total of 100 have been administered.
“Lutheran Health Network and Kroger are committed to making a difference in our communities through a variety of programs throughout the year,” said Joe Dorko, chief executive officer, Lutheran Health Network. “To celebrate the opening of this dynamic new store, and to help local residents get a jumpstart on fighting the flu this season, we decided 100 free flu shots would make a great housewarming gift for our neighbors down the street.”
While RediMed is best known for treating minor illnesses and injuries at four urgent care clinics in the region, it also has a proud tradition of providing occupational medicine services to area employers through Business Health Services. BHS case managers help companies coordinate pre- and post-employment physicals, drug and alcohol screens and treatment of injured or sick employees.
RediMed also has a successful track record meeting the physical therapy needs of patients across northeastern Indiana with locations in Fort Wayne and Huntington.
